Todos recordamos el mítico film de 1968 Barbarella, el cual estaba protagonizado por una irresistible Jane Fonda y dirigida por el entonces su marido Roger Vadim. El film estaba inspirado en una historieta de ciencia-ficción francesa creada por Jean-Claude Forest, cuya protagonista se convirtió en una de las más destacadas heroínas y quizás la primera del género fantaerótico, que tuvo su esplendor en los 60 y 70. Pues bien después de muchos años de rumores, se anunció que el personaje volvía a la pantalla, aunque de momento a la pequeña, ya que el film que Martha De Laurentiis quería que dirigiese Robert Rodríguez estaba de momento en pausa, pero, no importaba debido a la increíble noticia de que su versión para televisión sería dirigida por Nicolas Winding Refn. Gaumont International Television y la productora Martha De Laurentiis estaban al frente del proyecto (hablamos de 2014) que llevaría a la pequeña pantalla el conocido personaje creado por Jean-Claude Forest y que como ya hemos dicho se vio en formato cine gracias a Jane Fonda y su marido Roger Vadim. El anuncio indicaba que Winding Refn produciría y dirigiría la serie, algo que no solo nos complació sino que nos emocionó. Para la versión cinematográfica se encargó al famoso dibujante Milo Manara que hiciese una actualización del personaje y de momento no sabíamos si serían utilizados para la serie, pero nosotros os los mostramos por si acaso un poco más abajo. El caso, es que desde finales de 2014, no hemos vuelto a tener noticia de este proyecto por lo que hace ya año y medio que no hay nada sobre la deseada adaptación. Refn acaba de estrenar en Cannes y con mucha polémica su último filme (The Neon Demon) así, que quizás este sea el momento apropiado para retomar aquel mágnífico anuncio.
